Prepared foods as a retail category is rapidly expanding.  Consumers demand more convenience, and services for special meal needs are increasingly based on centralized preparation of meals for subsequent distribution.  Retail display and distribution systems require the holding of highly processed food items for substantial periods of time. The result is that the food industry is faced with safety and wholesomeness concerns regarding highly processed meals and meal courses.

CheckPoint® I or III series labels are ideal for monitoring prepared foodstuffs that are stored and/or distributed in a controlled cold chain environment.  Our CheckPoint® I LP series labels or our CheckPoint® III Type ED are appropriate where distribution may pass from party to party, or where there is substantial risk of extreme temperature exposure due to negligence or other chance factors.
