At the present
time, we are not seeking international distribution by representatives or
distribution companies for CheckPoint® III products. However, we
are actively seeking manufacturing licensees with regional exclusive
rights with regard to the CheckPoint® I product line.
CheckPoint®
I products are much like pharmaceutical products in that they are damaged by high temperature exposure. Because of
their shipping and storage limitations, they are not very adaptable to
being manufactured in one part of the world and subsequently shipped to
another.
We currently ship
CheckPoint®
I to
certain customers outside the primary manufacturing regions by direct sale
from Vitsab International (contact a sales representative for details).
Considerable advance planning is necessary to assure safe arrival of any
CheckPoint® I shipment.
All product is shipped
F.O.B. point of origination: Malmö, Sweden, our primary manufacturing plant
for the product line. It is the responsibility of the
user to ensure that supply to a distant location is done with adequate
protection of the labels from potentially damaging temperatures in transit
or at any intermediary holding location.
So, we are
seeking to qualify licensees for the manufacturing of the CheckPoint®
I product line such that geographical centers remote from our Malmö,
Sweden manufacturing locations can
serve a growing global demand for the products. As we expand, our
primary goal is to set up manufacturing licensees. Licensees operate
leased machinery and become manufacturing distributors of the CheckPoint®
product line. A substantial up-front fee is required for becoming a
licensee. Seafood
products entering the U.S. may require application of a TTI to conform
with U.S. Food and Drug Administration requirements, especially if the
packages are shipped under conditions of reduced oxygen content. |
