Floral and foliage perishables can be extremely susceptible to temperature
abuse. Different patterns are shown with cut foliage, cut flowers and
live plants. Our experience is that the most vulnerable of cut
products are irreversibly damaged by exposure to higher temperatures, even
if cooler temperatures are quickly restored. Wilt fungi can become
established at the higher temperatures, and will not be retarded by return
to proper refrigeration. Our labels are uniquely adapted to
this type of challenge.
Foliage and live plants are best monitored with our CheckPoint®
III Type EO or similar formulations. series labels, as they
show time-temperature tolerance that fits that curve family.
Protection of this type of perishable product from accidental extreme
exposure is best fitted to our L series labels. |
